Standard Work is the “tried-and-true” Lean practice of maximizing performance, with minimum waste, through the best combination of people, processes, technology, and tools.

And speaking of “technology”, Industry 4.0 is known to as the fourth industrial revolution and at its most foundational level is the connectivity / inter-connectivity of machines, devices, and systems. So how does a “tried-and-true” practice and the latest craze with I4.0 advancements complement each other?

Jim has over 20 years of experience leading sustaining, enterprise-wide Lean transformations and continuous process improvements – both domestically and internationally, in manufacturing (discrete, process, and FDA regulated), consumer product, and service industries. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master of Education from the University of St. Francis.  As a Lean continuous improvement leader, Lean master black belt, process improvement engineer, and professional educator, Jim leads enterprise-wide Lean continuous improvement transformations, creating a unified culture of ownership and accountability, deploying strategic business plans, and achieving measurable break-through outcomes.
