Lisa Alvarado | Managing Director, Holistic Index

Lisa’s passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion grew organically from her graduate education in the historical study of race, ethnicity, and gender. She has a unique perspective to bring to DEI work as the issues we tackle in this space today have roots in historical movements and systems of inequity.  As an empathetic listener and educator Lisa promotes candid discussion, self-reflection, and learning.  

Lisa has 12 years of experience as a DEI Consultant and HR Professional across industries including  Philanthropy, Public Health, Education and Technology. Her strong suites include; Training & Development, public speaking, facilitating tough conversations, and professional writing – both academic and promotional.  

Tom Alexander | CEO & Founder, Holistic Index 

Tom Alexander is Founder and CEO of Holistic, a people analytics company, devoted to the improvement of the employee experience and helping companies grow by developing a roadmap and timeline for positive change. His role includes complete operation of the young startup. His work is centered around inclusion, and the fostering of a more diverse, more equitable, more inclusive world.  

 Previously, Tom was Chief Operating Officer for 1871, one of the largest technology incubators in the United States. His role included the operation of a facility that houses hundreds of startups, business development efforts focused on integrating 1871 into the Chicago technology economy, and external relations efforts with government and media partners.
