thanks alex. i will look into it!
Very nice hack!! I was using the hacks by LL and SG, which worked great, but this one is much easier to implement and update.
just that i need to wait for a stable version as every upgrade to a nightly will break it :S
@mamabean,
You are still running WP 1.0. There was a bug for the comment smilies in that version, which has since been fixed. Upgrade to 1.0.1 RC1 or a nightly build and the problem will be solved. If you don’t want to do that, the fix is here.
hi! is there a way to make the smilies into a popup window?
Or you can just add some style:
#wp_grins img {
cursor: pointer;
cursor: hand;
}
Of course 🙂
But why use two times cursor:
?
I guess this ‘ll do:
#wp_grins img {
cursor: hand;
}

BTW, in what order are the smilies displayed? I can’t see a logical sequence in it…
You need both for IE and Mozilla.
I see…
How about the smilies order?
alpha order of the abbreviations
Great! It works very nice.
But I wonder, is it possible to use all available smilies to the admin section and, at the same time, assign for comments only a part of them?
Thanks,
Anton.

I have all my smiles in the admin and the sameones in the comment box to.. only put the smiles in both boxes that you want used.. or add ones that you want to use.. but im not sure if you cn have 2 different smile files to run at the sametime
Right now it puts the same list both places.
