I’m not comfortable with a plugin that injects a phone-home cookie into user browsers. Please explain why the Motomo package is installed through Composer. I would prefer to disable this, but there is no option in the plugin settings, and I don’t want to have to manually update the plugin (composer.json + update) with each new version.

    Thanks.

EDIT: Matomo isn’t referenced in your code. I’m guessing it’s something left over from prior development that can be removed in the next update?

    Hi @starbuck,

    Thanks for writing to us.

We are not using Matomo. The composer mentioned Matomo as a keyword because the composer/installers support Matomo.

If you have any questions further just let us know that we can help you more.

I’m sorry – you are correct. This is the only plugin in our site that references Matomo in Composer, but yes, the plugin itself does Not use Matomo. The cookie seems to have been left over from prior testing with another plugin – I cleared all cookies and the “_pk_id” plugin associated with Matomo is no longer present.

Thanks for your patience and support.
