Post Template deeply nested in Query Loop

    With WP 6.3 and 6.4 and TwentyTwentyThree, I have a Query Loop block (QLB) with a nested Post Template block (PTB). If the PTB is nested immediately within the QLB, correct records are retrieved and displayed. If the PTB is nested down a few layers in Group blocks, the query does not process filters.

    Is there a rule that the PTB must be an immediate descendant of the QLB?

    Is this a known issue? I don’t see it in Trac.
