Please update the Performance Lab plugin to support the Avif image format

    WordPress 6.5 now supports the Avif image format so please update the Performance Lab plugin to support this image format.

    Many thanks for reaching out @phanduynam.

    As AVIF is now supported in WordPress 6.5 natively as you stated (see related trac issue), can you share what you would like to see added to the Performance Lab plugin, or how you would like to see any integration work?

    As AVIF images are already compressed, are you looking to provide conversion from JPEG uploads to AVIF, would you like to see some AVIF usage information in a users Site Health status from the Performance Lab plugin, or something else? Let me know and I’d be happy to raise this with the team. Thank you.
