    Hi,

    Thank you for using WP-Statistics.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this update may have caused and we are working hard to fix all the reported issues.

WP-Statistics v13.0.3 might not be compatible with some of the PHP versions. So if your website is using a version lower than PHP 7.3, please do not update your plugin.

If you access your WordPress Admin Panel, just deactivate the plugin, and install v12.6.13. Otherwise, you can do that through CPanel/FTP. Delete the WP Statistics folder. Then replace it with the previous version of the plugin which is v12.6.13.
To get that version, you can select and download it at the bottom of this page.
You will need to extract the file to obtain the wp-statistics folder if you are doing that via FTP. Then copy this to your wp/content/plugins folder.

However, if you encounter this error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78
and you do not have any other problem with the plugin, you can ignore it. Because it belongs to our previous version and occurs once, while updating to the new version, and it doesn’t cause any problem.

We do our best to resolve all the issues and release a new version as soon as possible.

Again, we are truly sorry for what happened, and thanks for reporting all the issues.

    Best,

PHP 7.4 is installed on my hosting, but still there are many errors during the installation of the plugin v13. Plugin doesn’t want to install.

    Hi again,

First of all, deactivate and delete WP-Statistics from WordPress Admin Panel > Dashboard Sidebar > Plugins > Installed Plugins. Next, go to the bottom of this page, and download the v12.6.13. Then install it manually through WordPress admin area. Follow the below step:

    1. Go to WordPress Admin Panel > Dashboard Sidebar > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
    2. Select on Choose File button and choose your downloaded zip file
    3. Click on Activate Plugin

Feel free to ask any other questions.

The js conflict has been fixed.

I have tried 13.0.4 now, still the same. Using PHB version 7.4 installing ist not the problem. But statistics still is not counting visitors. So I switched again back to 12…… I hope that after all this problems will be fixed otherwise I will look for another tool

Sound like still buggy, i will nt Update it.

    Hi,

I am on PHP 7.4 and my website encountered a Critical Error when I updated to version 13.0.2 last week.

I received the same message which is this:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78

But my site seems to be working ok afterwards.

However, one important detail – The way the visitors are counted is different now, and it seems to have gone back to the very old version few years ago. Which is, showing just a few live visitors now. Previously it would show few hundred. But the very old version from maybe 2 years ago, also showed very few visitors and I considered that to be accurate. The hundreds of live visitors is fake to me…..

So now with the new version 13.0.4, is it safe to update or should I go back to the older version?

@bliss7 I’m guessing the developer is taking the weekend off. He seems responsive and has fixed bugs. But I still see bug reports here. On Github, no new work has appeared for the last three days. I support multiple sites, some small, and none with the plugin conflicts mentioned in this forum, so I can test it out before deploying to larger sites. But others may want to wait? Meanwhile we are using Jetpack stats.
