    Need an Update button for the description too.

    So you can click update if you submitted a Document through upload. If you want to update the Description with no new Document upload the Update button does not show.

    The problem is that when you open the page, it ask to restore the backup as the outdated page loads up without the update first all the time.

    Anytime you can get an Update to work for the description by either adding a Document or reverting to a save with just text, then it works. It shouldn’t be like this. The Update button should always be available.

    It should also be possible to delete Any revision please.

    ok well it seems to work if you have something uploaded (changing the description makes the update button show) to it, so I’ve put a .jpg to test but now I cannot find how to remove the .jpg from the document page??

    nevermind I think I’ve figured it all out. Basically I’m trying to use it as an editing revision area but I assume that isn’t the right way to do it? Does anyone know of a solution of what I mean where everytime you hit save or update it stores it like how the revisions work for the document?

    @antdx,

    Thanks for raising this issue.

    The system is meant to work in the following way. When the screen is first displayed the Update/Publish button is disabled. When you make an update that can be saved then the button is enabled.

    You are correct that when the description field is updated then the button should be enabled.

    It is a bug that it does not. I will propose a fix that will allow this to happen.

    By making a “null update” to another field you are able to save the change; e.g. add a space to the title and then delete it again. An alternative is to add a taxonomy term and remove it again.

    Regards,

    Neil James
