Don’t Able to Add Category and Featured Image in Post

I created this site on free server that allows to install wordpress and create sites. The theme I have used is free. It could be installed and set up easily. But when I tried to create new posts, I saw that the options to add category and featured image to the posts are not available. I tried to add code to the theme editor file and a few other things as well, but nothing worked. Kindly help me.

To use the Settings for Featured Image and Categories, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to your post page and click on the three dots located next to the settings option.
Step 2: Choose “Preferences” from the menu which appears.
Step 3: Within the preferences, navigate to the “Panels” tab and activate the options for “Featured Image” and “Categories.”
